Chapter 11 is the most well known type of bankruptcy. It is used by corporations that wish to stay in business and reorganize their debts. Chapter 11 is also availble to individuals that don't qualify for a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy because of being over the debt limits.

Chapter 12 is used by small farmers and fishermen with regular annual income.

Chapter 15 Bankruptcy is availble to debtors with many international contacts.
